Hey guys this is just some pointers on Art

Tips for staring out.

Start with a photo it helps to copy it

start simple don't try to do the most complex photo you see

Don't be ashamed if you don't get it right and it looks crap the first time you just need to practice nobody is perfect the first time they draw the photo

Try smudging

Pyramid

Pyramid tutorial

Pyramids: Pyramids are very important to know how to draw because we use them for lots of stuff e.g tops of buildings, Pyramids (of course), sketching guide lines (we rub them out later its just for proportions of the face), the nose, eyes, eyebrows and lots more!
This tutorial is very easy because all the shadows are one shade and don't get lighter/darker

I hope this tutorial helps and you learn to draw Pyramids well :)

1
Draw a triangle

draw a diagonal line off the corner of the triangle
draw a line from the top of the triangle to to the end of the line
colour it!
colour the front slightly lighter than the side!

1. Draw a circle for the iris and another circle for the pupil.
draw 1 circle line inside the pupil and another one on the iris for reflections.

add a darker coloured line around the edge. add lines around the pupil and iris. Add two dots in the middle

 colour it in!
using the colour spectrum (last post)  shade on top of the eye

Kay guys so....
today I am gonna show you how important shading is and give you some tips....!

Why it is so important
Shading gives the item depth and perception, even if you put solid colour in all the places it was s'possed to be (bellow) it still looks boring and flat, wheres the shaded one pops out of the page.

toning spectrums are a good way to start!
Keep going at it until you can do a spectrum without seeing the lines inside it
step 1. in a toning spectrum is push down hard on your pencil (the hardest you can push)
step 2.  slowly move your pencil foward slowly lighting it in the progress (but not to much make it look like it fades)
3. then at the end fade it out completely

                                         Tips for starting out
                                        1. try coping off a photo and using the spectrum for when you shade!

Nose, Eye,Box And Other Shape Tutorials

Start with your eyebrow
Add two lines one for the nose and one to show where the eye starts :)
Add the eye (make it a kind of lemon shape).
Now rub out your inner line.
Add another line on top for the eyelid. You can look for this on anyone,                                                                             everyone has it!
remember not to make your eye longer than the length of your eyebrow

Add a iris and pupil, also add a small swiggly
shape for the light reflecting of the eye!
Start colouring in your iris by flicking your pencil from the iris to the edges
of the eye, leaving the reflecting light blank. Remember to make the edges of the iris darker
Add a dark line over the top lid of the eye.
colour in around the eye then smudge it!
add a line under the eye

Add a smooth darkish line curving from the
eyebrow to the edge of the eye.
Add eyelashes by flicking the pencil upward in long curving strokes.
Add the outline of the edge of the face
Smudge it outwards towards the eye
Tip:
have a play with smudging on another piece of paper and
see what styles you can make.
Smudge from the corner of the nose outwards

                                                 BOX tutorial

     Start with a curved rectangle.
Add a lopsided rectangle to the side
and then add one to the top (Use picture reference)
Shade the side, dark around the
outside then getting lighter as you move to the middle
start shading around the outside use the same technique as in the                                                        same one you  used in the last step
                                                           Smudge it!
add a shadow to the bottom and shade the top ,the same shade for the whole thing
                                                             Done!

                                     Nose Tutorial

                                                          Draw the outline
shade around the outside of the two nostrils gradually getting lighter as you move towards the inside
shade around the other bit (whatever you wanna call it) then start gradually getting lighter as you move towards the inside
now start with the bridge of the nose cut the other bit off and
shade in a kinda rectangle there. Remember to gradually get lighter as you move towards the inside
